Baseball Recap: Brookwood Takes a Loss

Brookwood came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Fairhope Pirates.

Brookwood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Riley, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Riley hit this season.

Brookwood's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Fairhope, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Brookwood Panthers face off against Hale County Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairhope, they will square off against Trinity Presbyterian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
