League recap: Pinkerton tops Manchester Memorial to extend winning streak

Pinkerton extended the longest winning streak in Division I - South this week by beating Manchester Memorial, 61-21. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Goffstown fell to Bedford 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Londonderry's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aaron Gaudet threw for 91 yards and Eric Fairweather had 52 yards receiving. On the ground Dennis Bishop contributed 87 yards. Nathaneal Kelly helped Londonderry's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 15 yards.

Gaudet put up the best numbers in passing as the Lancers fell to Concord. Gaudet's favorite target this week was Fairweather, who caught 5 passes for 52 yards.

Londonderry's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Gaudet has thrown for 278 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Fairweather has 14 catches for 149 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Londonderry and Merrimack. Jon Rich's team enters the contest ranked 22nd in the state, while the Tomahawks ranks 21st.

Salem made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,293 from 10,033. The advance stemmed from a 50-6 victory over Manchester West last week.
