Basketball Recap: Bear Grass Charter Takes a Loss

Bear Grass Charter was the 49-47 winner over Northside - Pinetown when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bear Grass Charter Bears came up short against the Northside - Pinetown Panthers on Friday, falling 72-51. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northside - Pinetown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Moore, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Vansant, who posted 14 points and six rebounds.

Bear Grass Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Northside - Pinetown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bear Grass Charter will welcome North Duplin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northside - Pinetown, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech at 6:30 p.m. Northside - Pinetown is facing Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech at the right time seeing as Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
