Baseball Game Preview: Lake Country Christian Eagles vs. Coram Deo Academy Lions

The Lake Country Christian Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Coram Deo Academy Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lake Country Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against All S on Friday, falling 10-4. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Lake Country Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Huber, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Coram Deo Academy took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over Harvest Christian Academy.

Sebastian Young made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Coram Deo Academy got a big performance out of Ford Stratton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Lucas Smith was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Coram Deo Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
