Basketball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Pinon's Winning Streak

If Pinon was feeling good fresh off their 71-17 takedown of Greyhills Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pinon Eagles lost to the Valley Pirates at home by a 58-44 margin on Saturday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 65-55.

With the defeat, Pinon broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-9. As for Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.
