The Monache Marauders will head out on the road to face off against the Lemoore Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monache is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Monache barely beat Taft the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Monache put the hurt on Taft with a sharp 12-0 win on Saturday. The Marauders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Monache got a great performance from Sophia Martinez as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Martinez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Amiee Rivas was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckinly Meister, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Monache hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lemoore came into Thursday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over El Diamante on Thursday. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Miners on their field since April 12, 2019.
Monache pushed their record up to 6-2-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Lemoore, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-9.
Monache came out on top in a nail-biter against Lemoore when the teams last played back in February of 2022, sneaking past 4-3. Will Monache repeat their success, or does Lemoore has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
