Soccer Game Preview: Claiborne vs. Scott

Claiborne is 0-3 against Scott since March of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Monday just wasn't the day for Claiborne's offense. They lost 8-0 to Northview Academy on Monday.

Meanwhile, Scott came up short against Roane County on Thursday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Scott can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Roane County are ranked 86th).

Scott's loss dropped their record down to 1-3-2. As for Claiborne, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Claiborne might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Scott in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bulldogs were down 4-0.
