Recap: Wesley Chapel Wildcats vs. Calvary Christian Warriors
The Wesley Chapel Wildcats lost to the Calvary Christian Warriors back in January, but the Wesley Chapel Wildcats didn't allow the Calvary Christian Warriors the same satisfaction on Friday. Wesley Chapel skirted past Calvary Christian 42-39. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wesley Chapel.
Wesley Chapel was led to victory by Sanai Forrester-Jhagroo and Dayla Christopher. Forrester-Jhagroo scored 14 points along with 3 steals, while Christopher scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Christopher has scored at least 25% of Wesley Chapel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliana Diaz, who scored 2 points along with 10 rebounds.
Wesley Chapel's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Calvary Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Wesley Chapel will head out on the road to face off against Wiregrass Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wiregrass Ranch comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Calvary Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Largo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Largo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday.
