Volleyball Recap: Billerica Memorial Has No Trouble Against Masconomet Regional

Billerica Memorial had lost three matches on the road, but after bumping their record up to 8-11 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Masconomet Regional Chieftains with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Kendra Marino paced Billerica Memorial's offense, picking up six kills. Marino got some help from Meghan Downs and her 15 assists. Ryan Domina controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

As for Masconomet Regional, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 10-7 record. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in September.

Despite the loss, Masconomet Regional still got an impressive performance from Lidia Benedetto, who had ten digs and three assists. Benedetto is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Coming up, Billerica Memorial will face off against Shawsheen Valley Tech at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Masconomet Regional, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Ipswich on the 21st.
