Cleveland fell victim to Birmingham and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 1-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cavaliers were not able to get on the board.

Birmingham pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
