Football Recap: Mt. Mansfield Comes Up Short

Mt. Mansfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 60-28 loss at the hands of the Bellows Falls Terriers. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Terriers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Mt. Mansfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bellows Falls, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mt. Mansfield will venture away from home to square off against Bellows Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Bobwhites/Comets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bellows Falls, they will head out to challenge Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Terriers will need to watch out since the Wasps have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.
