Basketball Game Preview: Decatur Bulldogs vs. Dunwoody Wildcats + Official Tickets

Decatur is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will host the Dunwoody Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Decatur saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Johns Creek.

Despite their defeat, Decatur saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Bailey Butler, who posted eight points along with six boards and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Butler is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Nadiya Mohamed was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Saturday. Dunwoody was outmatched by Lovejoy and fell 73-40. Dunwoody was down 54-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Dunwoody's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Decatur, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.

Decatur was able to grind out a solid win over Dunwoody in their previous meeting back in January, winning 41-31. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
