Interstate 35 barely beat Earlham the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Roadrunners never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Roadrunners, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Interstate 35's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Earlham, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Interstate 35 is set to take on their familiar foe Pleasantville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Roadrunners 3.3, the Trojans 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Earlham will square off against rival Des Moines Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
