Volleyball Recap: Overfelt Wins Going Away Against Gilroy

Overfelt won the last time they faced Gilroy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Royals put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Royals.

Overfelt didn't let Gilroy take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24, 25-23.

Overfelt's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Gilroy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Overfelt will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Willow Glen at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Gilroy, they will face off against Gunderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
