Softball Recap: East Clarendon's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

East Clarendon dropped their record down to 10-6 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Clarendon Hall Saints, falling 9-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Wolverines couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Clarendon Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.

For Clarendon Hall's part, Calli Yount spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Mandy Wells was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Harrington, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Clarendon will welcome Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarendon Hall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carolina Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
