Fremont and Homestead are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Fremont Firebirds are taking a road trip to take on the Homestead Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Fremont's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Last Friday, Fremont came up short against Saratoga and fell 69-58. While losing is never fun, the Firebirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 727th, while the Falcons are ranked 321st).

Meanwhile, Homestead suffered their closest loss since January 4th on Friday. They fell just short of Monta Vista by a score of 53-50.

Fremont now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Homestead, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-4.

Fremont came up short against Homestead in their previous matchup back in January, falling 42-32. Can Fremont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
