Basketball Recap: Easley Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Easley needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Ethan Crews. The Easley Green Wave managed a 71-65 win over the Woodmont Wildcats on Tuesday thanks in part to Crews, who went 13 of 24 en route to 31 points and eight rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of Easley's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 3-1 (and 9-10 when he doesn't).

Another player making a difference was River Andrews, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points. What's more, he also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024.

Easley now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Woodmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Easley will take on T.L. Hanna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodmont, they will face off against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
