Soccer Game Preview: Wilson Central vs. Smyrna

Wilson Central is 1-8-1 against Smyrna since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Wildcats will head out to square off against the Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wilson Central came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-1 to Stewarts Creek. While losing is never fun, Wilson Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Stewarts Creek are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Smyrna's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to Lebanon. Smyrna have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wilson Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Smyrna, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 5-3-1.
