Recap: Tolono Unity Rockets vs. Armstrong Trojans

The Tolono Unity Rockets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Armstrong with a sharp 61-41 victory. Considering Tolono Unity has won five contests by more than 19 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Tolono Unity had a senior duo take command as Raegen Stringer scored 12 points along with eight assists and three steals and Addison Ray scored 19 points. The contest was Stringer's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Little, who scored ten points.

The victory (which was Tolono Unity's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Armstrong, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tolono Unity won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Benton Central at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Benton Central will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Armstrong is on the road again on Thursday and play against Cissna Park at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Cissna Park will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
