Hemet had won 17 straight games and Matthew Torres did his part to make it 18 on Thursday. Everything went the Hemet Bulldogs' way against the Perris Panthers as the Hemet Bulldogs made off with a 77-55 win thanks in part to Torres, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 33 points and three blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Quinton Skinner was another key player, dropping a triple-double on 11 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Hemet's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2. As for Perris, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-11 record.

Hemet will head out on the road to challenge Vista del Lago at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hemet's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 games. As for Perris, they will host Citrus Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Perris knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matchups -- so hopefully Citrus Hill likes a good challenge.
