Springville barely beat Maple Mountain the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Golden Eagles on Thursday. Considering the Red Devils have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooklynn Richardson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Richardson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Jaz Ciliezar was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Tyler Haveron was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

Springville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .439. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory snapped Springville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-5 record. As for Maple Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.
