Recap: Collingswood Panthers vs. Gloucester Catholic Rams
The Collingswood Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to Gloucester Catholic. Collingswood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gloucester Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.
Despite the loss, Collingswood still got an impressive performance from Shakur Carter, who picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Collingswood has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Gloucester Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.
Collingswood will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Eustace Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The last three games Bishop Eustace Prep has played have been within five points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Gloucester Catholic will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Gloucester City. Gloucester City will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
