Christopher had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Bearcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23.

Christopher found their leader in freshman Tinley Hobbs, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Christopher's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-12. As for Zeigler-Royalton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Christopher wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Trico on the 29th.
