Softball Game Preview: Janesville Parker Vikings vs. Janesville Craig Cougars

The Janesville Parker Vikings will face off against the Janesville Craig Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Janesville Parker didn't have quite enough to beat Verona and fell 3-2. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kenedi Pryne was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Janesville Craig never let their opponents score on Monday. They skirted past Waunakee 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since April 15th.

Not much got past Maddy Klemencic, who gave up just four hits to keep Waunakee off the board.

On the hitting side, Janesville Craig secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Abbie Claas, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Janesville Craig is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Janesville Parker, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
