Hampton had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the East Butler Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Despite the defeat, East Butler saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucy Polivka had eight digs and four assists. Blaire Glasshoff also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

East Butler is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Hampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Butler, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Lawrence-Nelson on the 27th.
