You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for West Jefferson on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Firth Cougars out of the water with a 48-6 final score. Considering the Panthers have won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Jefferson had a senior duo take command as Justus Burtenshaw rushed for 238 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries and Mac Hall gained 214 total yards and three touchdowns. Those 238 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Burtenshaw.

West Jefferson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 377 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 197 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

West Jefferson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Burtenshaw and Justin Perkins. Burtenshaw is also crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 120 every time he's taken the field this season.

West Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Firth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

West Jefferson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-6 defeat against North Fremont on the 24th. Firth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
