Soccer Recap: Mariposa County Comes Up Short

Mariposa County lost against Waterford on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mariposa County Grizzlies fell just short of the Waterford Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elias Gutierrez and Emmet Malisch scored both of Mariposa County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Mariposa County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Waterford, they pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mariposa County will challenge Stone Ridge Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Waterford has already played their next game (against Delhi), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
