Baseball Recap: Cresskill Comes Up Short

New Milford hit Cresskill with a five-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars came up short against the Knights, falling 11-4. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Cresskill saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Kopczynski, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Cresskill's loss dropped their record down to 14-10-1. As for New Milford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

Coincidentally, Cresskill and New Milford will both be playing Midland Park the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cougars will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
