Basketball Recap: Alcona Comes Up Short

Alcona lost against Roscommon back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Alcona Tigers were dealt a 62-11 defeat at the hands of the Roscommon Bucks. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

It was another big night for Alexis Carper, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds for Roscommon. Carper has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more boards the last four times she's played. Zoey Kauffman was another key player, going 5-for-11 on her way to 11 points along with six assists and five steals.

Alcona's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Roscommon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Alcona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roscommon, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-32 win against Oscoda on the 7th.
