Basketball Recap: Thunder Ridge Skates Past Canyon Ridge with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thunder Ridge). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks 71-25. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Riverhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Macey Stokes was nothing short of spectacular: she shot 78% from the field on her way to 20 points along with five boards and four steals. She has become a key player for Thunder Ridge: the team is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Kunz, who went 6-for-7 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

Thunder Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Thunder Ridge's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-5. As for Canyon Ridge, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Thunder Ridge and Canyon Ridge will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Titans see the court they'll take on Post Falls at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Canyon Ridge, their break will end when they face Filer at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
