Soccer Recap: Dunmore Takes a Loss

After flying high against Carbondale Area on Monday, Dunmore came back down to earth. The Bucks came up short against the Western Wayne Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Dunmore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Western Wayne are ranked 137th).

Dunmore has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five contests. As for Western Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Dunmore will challenge Blue Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Western Wayne, they will take on Lakeland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
