Basketball Game Preview: Harlan County Black Bears vs. Sumter Gamecocks

The Harlan County Black Bears just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Sumter Gamecocks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Friday, Harlan County came up short against Boyd Anderson and fell 71-61. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Black Bears came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked ninth in Kentucky, while the Cobras are ranked 151st in Florida).

Meanwhile, Sumter also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Lakewood by a score of 51-40. The game marked the Gamecocks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Harlan County and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Sumter, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
