High school girls basketball: National scoring leaders led by Senaya Parker of Pennsylvania

Philadelphia sophomore leads all scorers nationally at over 43 points per game.

Senaya Parker of Samuel Fels (Philadelphia) is high school girls basketball's national leader in points per game at 43.8, according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps. The sophomore guard has a season-high of 59 points and has topped the 50-point mark six times this season.

Senior Nicole Melious of Wagner (Staten Island, N.Y.) is No. 2 nationally at 43.2 points per game. Melious, who has a pair of triple-doubles to date, poured in a season-high 60 points, pulled down 16 rebounds and dished out 11 assists in a 101-60 win over DeWitt Clinton in late December.

Taliah Scott of St. Johns Country Day (Orange Park, Fla.) sits in the No. 3 spot this week with a scoring average of 37.3. The senior guard ripped the cords for a season-high 53 points in a 64-46 win over The First Academy last month.
