Softball Game Preview: Dadeville Tigers vs. Beauregard Hornets

Dadeville hasn't had much luck against Beauregard recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will face off against the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. Dadeville has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dadeville managed to slip by Glenwood the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Gators on Tuesday, falling 14-4. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Dadeville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caylin Wood, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Beauregard made sure to put some runs up on the board against Pike Road on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Hornets have won 12 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win snapped Beauregard's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 20-9 record. As for Dadeville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Dadeville might still be hurting after the 13-6 defeat they got from Beauregard in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
