Basketball Recap: Kim/Branson Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Kim/Branson lost to Eads back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Everything went the Kim/Branson Mustangs' way against the Eads Eagles as the Kim/Branson Mustangs made off with a 68-48 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Kim/Branson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Rosas, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points along with eight boards and six assists. With that strong performance, Rosas is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of David Gamez, who went 8 of 11 en route to 17 points.

Kim/Branson's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Eads, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kim/Branson will challenge Sangre de Cristo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sangre de Cristo will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kim/Branson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eads, they will face off against Granada at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
