Basketball Recap: Big Spring Comes Up Short

Big Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cooper Cougars. If the Steers were looking for revenge after losing 71-44 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Big Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Cooper, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Big Spring and Midland will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Midland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Cooper will take on Midland Legacy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Midland Legacy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cooper surely won't give up without a fight.
