Basketball Recap: Jackson County Comes Up Short

Jackson County lost against Habersham Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jackson County Panthers took a 71-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Habersham Central Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Raiders are ranked 32nd).

Jackson County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Habersham Central, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

When Jackson County and Habersham Central next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Jackson County will square off against Winder-Barrow and their 11-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Habersham Central will try to stop Loganville's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
