Softball Recap: Wisdom Comes Up Short

If Wisdom was feeling good fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Washburn on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers fell just short of the Central Aroostook Panthers by a score of 8-6 on Saturday. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Wisdom's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Central Aroostook, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wisdom will take on rival Hodgdon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Central Aroostook is set to square off against their familiar foe Madawaska at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
