            Football Recap: Woodland Park Panthers vs. Florence Huskies        
        
		
        
        
            
Woodland Park extended their losing streak  to five  on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They had to suffer through  a    57-8 loss at the hands of the Florence Huskies. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  50-0.
 Joey Williams threw for 149 yards and one  touchdown on only 14 passes.   Nathan Summeril was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards and one  TD.
As for Florence, the  victory was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 25  points or more this season.
  Noah Howard produced another solid  effort rushing for 228 yards and a pair of  scores on only 14 carries. Howard is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 153 every time he's  taken the field this season.  Jaret Lozano was another key player, gaining 51 total yards and three touchdowns.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodland Park will challenge Manitou Springs at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.14  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Florence, they will square off against La Junta at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
