Preview: Mountain View Buffalos vs. Lyman Eagles
The Mountain View Buffalos will head out on the road to take on the Lyman Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mountain View is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
Last Friday, Mountain View faced Pinedale in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mountain View skirted past Pinedale 63-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Lyman was able to grind out a solid victory over Evanston on Friday, taking the game 41-28. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lyman.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lyman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Payton Anderson, who scored 11 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of BriLee Bradshaw, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Lyman, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Mountain View came up short against Lyman in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 58-47. Can Mountain View avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
