Volleyball Recap: Abbott Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Abbott had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Rio Vista Eagles on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

While Abbott was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Rio Vista's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Coincidentally, Abbott and Rio Vista will both be playing Axtell the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 5:45 p.m.
