With a playoff win on the line, Kouts rose to the challenge on Saturday. They never let the Clinton Prairie Gophers get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs & Fillies sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Billy Miller made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 13 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ben Finney, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May. Another player making a difference was Landon Garrett, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Kouts' record is now 27-6. As for Clinton Prairie, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-8.

As of now, neither Kouts nor the Gophers have any future games scheduled.
