 Mid Valley is 9-1 against Riverside since May of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Wednesday. The Mid Valley Spartans will look to defend their home field  against the Riverside Vikings at 7:00  p.m. Mid Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season.
 Riverside is hoping to do  on Wednesday what Holy Cross couldn't  on Monday: put an end to Mid Valley's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Mid Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Holy Cross  and snuck past  3-1.
  Ava Hazelton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Parker Bennett, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.  Chiara Zavislak was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, while it was Riverside who put the first points on the board on Wednesday, it was Dunmore who put up more. Riverside fell just short of Dunmore by a score of  5-3.
 Mid Valley's victory was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
