St. Johnsbury Academy and Colchester are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Hilltoppers will face off against the Lakers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Johnsbury Academy will be strutting in after a win while Colchester will be coming in after a defeat.

St. Johnsbury Academy barely beat South Burlington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hilltoppers put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 15-1 victory on Thursday. The Hilltoppers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 12 runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Colchester faced Bellows Free Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Lakers took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobwhites/Comets. The loss continues a trend for the Lakers in their meetings with the Bobwhites/Comets: they've now lost nine in a row.

The win made it two in a row for St. Johnsbury Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Colchester, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

St. Johnsbury Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Colchester in their previous matchup on May 6th, sneaking past 13-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
