Volleyball Game Preview: Canyon Springs Pioneers vs. Cheyenne Desert Shields

The Canyon Springs Pioneers will venture away from home to square off against the Cheyenne Desert Shields at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon Springs is looking for their season's first win.

Canyon Springs came up short against Boulder City last Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-4, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Cheyenne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Shadow Ridge.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 25-19.

Canyon Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Cheyenne, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-25.

Canyon Springs came out on top in a nail-biter against Cheyenne when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Desert Shields have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
