Basketball Recap: Shakopee Takes a Loss

Shakopee lost against Rosemount two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Shakopee Sabers were dealt a 59-27 defeat at the hands of the Rosemount Irish. The matchup marked the Sabers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Shakopee has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Rosemount, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Shakopee will square off against Lakeville South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rosemount has already played their next matchup, a 76-67 loss against Minnetonka on the 25th.
