Baseball Recap: The Colony Find Success

After losing to Memorial the last time they met, The Colony decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Colony Cougars walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Memorial Warriors on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Josiah Rojas made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Rojas was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sean Keenen, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Riley Stewart, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI.

The Colony's record is now 7-3. As for Memorial, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, The Colony will square off against McKinney North at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Colony is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Memorial, they will take on Westlake in a tournament on Friday.
