Baseball Game Preview: Box Elder Bees vs. Roy Royals

The Box Elder Bees will venture away from home to face off against the Roy Royals at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Box Elder made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Woods Cross, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bees fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The Bees have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Box Elder saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Wight, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Roy came into Wednesday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Northridge with a sharp 16-6 victory on Wednesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Royals' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Box Elder's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Roy, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 8-9.

Box Elder came out on top in a nail-biter against Roy in their previous meeting last Wednesday, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bees since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
