Volleyball Recap: Carsyn Chapman Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

Ford won the last time they faced Miller Grove and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Hornets 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Ford wouldn't go down easily and took Miller Grove into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 22-25, 15-7.

Ford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carsyn Chapman, who had 17 kills and two aces. That's the most aces Chapman has posted over her last three contests. Madisyn Pettus was another key player, getting 19 assists and two aces.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-9. As for Miller Grove, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ford will head out to square off against Bonham at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Miller Grove, they will venture away from home to face off against Commerce at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
