Football Recap: Stockton Tigers vs. Hoxie Indians
Stockton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Hoxie Indians 53-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Indians are ranked seventh).
Stockton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hoxie, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stockton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rawlins County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rawlins County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Stockton likes a good challenge. As for Hoxie, they will challenge Decatur Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hoxie's defense has only allowed 5.5 points per game this season, so Decatur Community's offense will have their work cut out for them.
